Are mosquitoes more resistant to cold than they were not long ago?

So many still, flying around like it hasn’t been cold. It’s like the cold doesn’t affect them anymore. Anyone else notice this?

Empty the water from all of the tires and old appliances strewn about outside of your trailer.

It’s not getting cold enough in the winter to kill them.

They are bad by my house, I live on Bayou Lafourche. My theory is when we had the drought, they didn’t have enough water to hatch, since we’ve been getting rain, they got really bad. But I’m not an entomologist.

Not cold enough to kill them just cold enough to piss them off. We need a good below 30 degree freeze to really kill them

There are more mosquitos in Canada and Alaska than any place on earth.

The entire cold kills them is total BS

They don’t all just die off in the winter or else Alaska would be mosquito free. Meanwhile, mosquitoes are so bad there they kill caribou from asphyxiation.

I find they’re worse in November and December than they are during the summer.
