What's the deal with Washington playing Dillon Johnson so much?

I understand he's a senior and has been one of the better backs this year, but dude was running on one ankle all night.

He couldn't cut like he normally does and you could just tell he didn't have it. Wasted 13 touches on him tonight

Looks like it's being reported that he has a high ankle sprain too

I know it's hard to keep the kid out but this is the National Championship, you cannot run out a player that would be detrimental to you winning it.

Totally agree. Could their backup RB be that bad? They didn’t even have a semblance of a run game most of the game. Would’ve at least kept that pass rush a little more honest. Totally one dimensional.

No clue but it's awful coaching to keep trotting him back out there. Didn't help that Michigan was getting so much pressure and he was forced to block a lot too.

Their back up is a true frosh that weighs 180 pounds

Starting RB tore his ACL in camp. Johnson was out there for his pass blocking.

Wouldn't have mattered. Michigan was the better overall team.
