No. If I have one cake, and I am waiting on a second cake in the oven, I only have one cake.

That's a literal counting of unhatched chickens deal. I have a good, finished cake that I'm eating on. I'm waiting on that second cake, but have no idea if it will be good or not. It could come out half-baked, with too much salt, it may not rise, or it could be burned black as night.....and I'd be demanding some explanations.

So it’s only a cake once it’s fully baked and delivered…I mean removed from the oven? Or is there a moment in the oven it becomes cake?
