Kept this from being a blowout. You could see MM getting pissed off during the game. A lot by Cook. A number of times we had bigs wide open under the goal and we short the 3 iinstead. He even mentioned during SEC channel interview. Almost cost them the game.

I get it, but almost losing games is a lot better than losing games like we were a few weeks ago.

Cook has to play smarter. Felt like he knew we were playing the conference doormat

Well, 5/5 from the arch gives you some autonomy. He’ll watch the film and see the open guys. The open guys have to catch the ball.

Got no problem with him getting his shot but when you have a steal and it’s you and your big and your big is at the goal you pass it to him. You don’t casually miss a 3. Even MM showed he was pissed when he did it. He saw Jim he just chose to shoot a 3.

Bad decision, but Cook was great tonight.

Who the hell went 5/5? Cook was 2-5 vs A&M, 1-7 tonight.

He has to be one of LSU’s top scorers so he gets more rope than everyone else, but tonight was a lot of selfish play. Even McMahon acknowledged that (though he didn’t say the word “selfish”)

I didn't see several, but I did see one blatant one where Baker was alone under the basket on a run, and Cook stepped back to shoot a 3 that he missed. That should've been an easy 2. I mostly didn't mind Cook shooting so much, because he was hot, and they couldn't stop him. He had a good matchup against another 6 footer.

Yes cook is very talented but needs to better facilitate the ball

It's going to cause descension if Cook keeps that up. I'm glad he looked for his shot tonight, but he needs to stay more balanced.

He's been averaging 4.8 per game, but tonight he decided to be selfish. I know they couldn't stop him, so maybe that was the right move today.

Cook is good, but he's a cocky and sometimes selfish player. Unless CMM can get him dialed in, it will cost us some games. But we're headed in the right direction.

Were headed in right direction.

I honestly don’t know the difference between him and Adam Miller taking loads of shots except Cook seems to make way more. I get it that Cook is a PG and should facilitate but guys, we needed shooters last year. This year we have a good shooting PG.

Yes, he had at least one questionable shot but we gave Ace the green light last year and he shot 33% from 2.

Pretty sure I heard Baker yell at Cook to "pass the ball bro". Baker's body language was not good tonight.

Exactly and MM took Cook out the game and you could see the coaches talking to him. This also spilled over to Wright who wasn't getting as many shots as he liked so he also forced a one on one drive with a big wide open but forced the shot instead of passing. It's about getting your teammates involved. Cook could have taken 3 less shots and still would have dominated the game. Hoping he sees that moving forward. You can't afford to do that against the good teams.
