Paul Dietzel is the only one I remember who left LSU for another CFB HC position.

Going way back in history, Edgar Wingard coached LSU in 1907-1908, then left to become head coach at the University of Maine (of all places).

He coached the legendary Doc Fenton in 1908.

Things have sure changed a lot since then.
