So this is on the record that he approves of an investigation now?

This was discussed in a thread on here last week. Kemp said he is 'very troubled' by the accusations against Willis and thinks it absolutely should be investigated/looked into. Article was directly from the AJC.

He did not want to go after Willis before this info came out "just because" and said it would set a bad president to go after people without evidence. It is related to this legislation he passed himself:

So not a criminal probe & instead wants to use an oversight committee correct?

The Georgia Legislature did a great job with the bill to hold DA’s accountable for their actions. The intent of the legislation was to hold DA’s accountable who were not enforcing the law. Not sure if it could apply to Willis since she’s going the opposite direction and trying to prosecute someone for questionable reasons.

From your link…

quote:

Under the law, the commission will not be able to receive complaints before October 1 (23) and will not be able to receive complaints about misconduct that happened before that date unless it is related to “a continuous pattern of conduct that continues beyond that date.”

There is a gray area, but Fani seems to be protected by Kemp in this case based on the dates…no?

Can you quote the part of the article where it quotes Kemp saying he supports investigating Willis?
