I think he's more like 6-5.

This was his first year playing football, too.

No he was a quarterback and DE in junior high, and damn good at both. My son was his center, luckily he's somewhat tall too ??

But Antonio was a quiet leader from what I remember. He just let his game talk. Had to be the safety net at times, one of my favorite lsu guards.

I remember seeing him driving around in his Mercedes SUV with big after market chrome wheels around campus

Loved me some Antonio Hudson. Clutch.

Big Baby gave up football for basketball and that worked out very well.

He wasn't a great football player. Didn't have the right mindset to use his size to his advantage. Even at his size in basketball, he liked to play with finesse.

When Big Baby was at LSU, Jimbo told him that he might be an All-American basketball player, but he'd be a Hall of Fame left tackle.

The truth was that he loved basketball, but not football, so he made the right choice. You have to love football to reach your potential.

He wasn't tough enough to play football at a high level. Hall of Fame linemen are some of the toughest people in all of sport. Broken fingers, torn up knees, punches to the face, etc. Absolute dogs.

He definitely chose the right sport.

I watched him play football over a dozen times in person and am still friends with one of his high school coaches. Guy played teams like Episcopal and wasn’t great. Sure, he had crazy set of size/athleticism, but he hated contact.

He was also in terrible shape in high school.

He looked closer to 6’5” when I saw him play. He’s going to be a super special talent, no matter what sport he decides on.

I spent a ton of time with Big Baby freshman year at LSU, and when the guy got competitive he was one of the strongest and meanest dudes you’ve ever seen. Go back and watch some of his college games…but yea, he didn’t care for football. If he got in the shape he eventually got in, he could have succeeded in football too.

Also to a couple posts up, Hud was one of the most chill, cool guys you’ve ever met. Just worked hard, good guy to be around, always stayed after practice. He and Darrel Mitchell were 2 great leaders that didn’t have to say anything

Antonio is the coach at Lincoln Prep, used to be grambling lab. Lincoln Prep has been pretty good at basketball the last few years. With him going to Ruston High I wonder if he’s not leaning more to football than basketball. Ruston has a great bball coach in Ryan Bond too though, so still a good situation for bball.

Could be a freak TE, mismatch on safeties & LB’ers, just throw it high and let him take it.

Or if he’s tough, possible edge rusher with a wingspan?

He is unblockable off the edge. Very quick and long, he definitely has lots of options
