Four Referees in Controversial Rams/Saints Game Have Ties to Southern California

Fans are concerned about the NFL's decision to allow four referees with Southern California ties to judge the contest.

quote:

On Sunday (Jan. 27), ESPN reported that concerns are being raised around the NFL's decision to allow four referees with Southern California ties to judge the contest between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints. Per the piece, sources believe that their connection to the Los Angeles might have played a role in the no call on Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman's blatant pass interference against the Saints' Tommylee Lewis.

@AdamSchefter · Follow There’s concern in some NFL quarters that four officials in NFC Championship Game live in Southern California, sources tell ESPN.

quote:

Many are wondering privately how head referee Bill Vinovich who lives in Newport Beach, CA, was paired with LA County resident Patrick Turner as well as Dan Arnold and Todd Prukop who live in Santa Barbara and Mission Viejo, respectfully. This lineup goes against the leagues' extensive list of checks and balances placed in effect to ensure a fair game. The skeptics are interested in hearing why the NFL decided to assign the refs to the Rams/Saints game and not Kansas City/New England or why the officiating crew was assembled in the first place. However, the NFL sought to quiet these rumors with a short but firm response.

What you understand because you are too dumb is that it should've never come to that. 15 yd penalty enforced and saints gash them with Ingram and Kamara and the rest is history. If the game would t have been rigged overtime plays wouldn't be a discussion. I don't understand why yall say if only they did this in overtime they would made it to the super bowl. That's like someone over your shoulder telling the other player what hand you have in poker and that player takes the pot, you lose everything, and then have start over with nothing.

The refs stunk. No doubt. But when you’re the better team act like it. Win by 17 any you won’t have these chances of someone stealing the win. I knew when they let the fake punt happen we were going to let them hang around. We did this several times over the years. Painful to know we should have been to 2 or 3 more SBs…

The crew was hand selected by Arthur blank, owners of the Falcons who was chair of the competition committee that year.

Btw this years results were leaked in October it’s Ravens vs Detroit with the lions winning according to the leaker. I think I posted that here
