Kirby and is LB coach

If you like to learn about football from the coaches, this is an amazing class/talk. He tells how he built the Georgia program defensively.

the one thing I took away from it was how much data these guys collect and track to identify trends and weaknesses, and their willingness to adapt and change immediately to stay at the top.

He talks about weight and speed of defensive players to handle the modern offenses.

odd man fronts, gap techniques and lot of DB coverages. Was over my head

just thought you all might enjoy this...His LB coach seems pretty dang impressive

Kirby mentions his time at LSU with Nick and his admiration for Pete Jenkins

Really cool to see how much of Kirby is Xs and Os, technique, and data trends. There are some who swear he wins because he has the top recruiting class every year. Maybe he gets the top recruiting class every year because he is able to demonstrate why the recruit is best served to go to Georgia and develop for the NFL.

I feel like that is more of the approach Kelly is going for, not recruiting to LSU because one team one heartbeat, but because we can demonstrate how the player will develop, why and works and gets the player ready for the NFL. Les was half way there, he could show recruits (not QBs) that his system worked, but I am not sure he was able to articulate why (honestly he could really articulate anything).

As long as CBKs results on the field this year are good, offense is still consistent (doesn’t have to be nearly as good as this year), and we show a lot of improvement on the defensive side of the ball then I really think that we will be legit contenders in 2025, 2026, and beyond.
