According to the LLA report, football brought in $54 million, and men’s basketball brought in $1.3 million after expenses for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2023.

Women’s basketball operated with a $7.7 million deficit. All other sports were grouped for the report, costing approximately $25.9 million more to operate than they brought in. Non-program-specific costs also outpaced revenue by $25.5 million.

Was this before or after the coaching salaries were subsidized by TAF?

How much of an increase donations to the university were the result of Kelly's first year success and Mulkey and Johnson winning national championships?

Profit isn't the goal of college sports or academic programs. These aren't businesses.

WBB would operate at a deficit no matter what. It won't profit, ever. It doesn't matter what happens. Unless there are millions of people watching every game, it won't change.

Help some of us who are ignorant understand. Just wondering why the men's basketball team is in the black and the women's is so far in the red. I can't imagine the Women's Basketball team spent that much more. Ticket sales for women's basketball last year had to be more than for men's basketball. Is this a TV Revenue separated for men's basketball versus women's that makes a difference in 8 or 9 million dollars? Real question, just curious?

Something tells me that figure is greatly exaggerated. On paper, you can basically manipulate numbers to say whatever you want!

I don’t knyif I believe that or not. What kind of deficit did they have when they had 2-3000 in the crowd?
