We had a “fight club” behind the Shipley’s Donut by our high school/middle school. It wasn’t much. It wasn’t malicious. Very few beefs were settled there. But I’ll say, it taught me how to take a punch and significantly reduced my fear of getting hit in the face.

That said. Only two fights. My younger brother was getting jumped. 7 on 1. We got our asses handed to us, but we got a few licks in. It was one of the best bonding moments I’ve ever had. After that he and I have been in lock step.

Got drunk in a bar. Talked some shite. Got laid out. Not my finest moment. I earned it.

I used to love a good scrap in my younger days. It has been over twelve years now that I was walking out of a bar with a group of friends and one guy with us got suckered by a guy he had words with earlier in the night. He hit his head on the curb and never woke up. His parents had to pull the plug on him two or three days later.

Witnessing that ended my fighting days. That, and having children since.

Zero. Although I've always assumed that if anyone ever punched me in the face I would punch them back. It's just never happened. Maybe it's because I look like I'm a badass and would kick the shite out of anyone who punched me??

12 and Under - probably a handful

13 and over - 1. drinking at a bar and a guy semi playfully punched me in the face. I reacted quickly by hitting him hard in the nose, we both fell onto the ground and thank god people grabbed him... he would have beat the shite out of me. He was much bigger.

We drank a few beers together after laughing about how neither of us were going home with any of the ladies due to stupid shite we did.

Good times.

Broke my hand in my last fist fight. Doctor asked me “who did you punch?”

Told the doctor I broke it playing football. He said who did you punch while playing football. Said I had what was referred to as boxers break. From throwing hooks instead of jabs. I stuck to my football story for insurance purposes.

A few. Sometimes you have to fight when you’re a man.

We did box in varsity sports in high school. (3) 2 minute rounds. It was more exhausting than you can imagine.

I don’t need to imagine. Until I developed serious clotting issues (not vaxxed) I kick boxed. Best workout there is for cardio plus you get to release a lot of stress.

Probably more than many between fights in school, after school, with cousins growing up and then getting into amateur boxing with all the sparring a few sanctioned bouts and such.

Only had a few as a grown adult and none in the past 40 years. The older you get, the longer it takes to heal.

In a ring or cage, a bunch, since I boxed Golden Gloves and then got into MMA.

Outside of that, one in high school after football with a teammate and maybe 10 during college at bars. One of those was a legit standup fight that never went to the ground which is unusual. I was already a pretty salty boxer and the guy I fought was pretty legit too. We just traded blows bare knuckled in the parking lot. Drew a pretty good crowd too and honestly I still hear about that fight from time to time. Lasted what felt like an eternity but probably in reality a few minutes. Broke my nose and completely jacked up my right hand. Not sure about him but he knew I was there lol.

One hit me with a bottle while breaking up a fight.

This happened to me at an LSU Vandy game. There was a fight going on so I moved in to get a better view and some dude smashed me in the back of the head with a beer bottle. I just turned around and started swinging on the dude.

I def have the fight not flight syndrome.

In hs one of my friends, didnt know it was him, came up behind me and kneed me giving me a dead leg. My first reaction was to turn around and start punching, i decked him rt in the face and nocked his arse on the ground.

We didnt stay friends after that. he shouldnt have assaulted me from behind.

None. You never know who you're fighting against or what kind of training they've had. I've seen a barfight where a drunk guy started a fight over a girl only to discover early in the fight that his opponent had a lot of MMA training. That resulted in the instigator leaving the scene with a shattered eye socket.

In my youth, probably between 20-30. After the age of 25, zero. Eventually you get old enough to know how to avoid drama and bullshite, though some people tend to seek it.

Had a drunk buddy (i wasn't exactly sober either) who kept trying to slap box me. After several warnings that if he hits me i would knock him out.... his hand grazed my chin and within 2 seconds, he was snoring on my kitchen floor. Sometimes it just has to be done.

Zero. I’m not trashy.

I’m not sure if that’s how that works

As an adult, it kinda is. With a few exceptions.

If the number as an adult is more than 2 or 3, maybe even more than one, it is a product of bad decision-making regarding the people and places you associate with. AKA known as a person being trashy.
