Considering he hasn’t been a college coach in 2 decades, good luck. Rude awakening about to happen dealing with a bunch of spoiled 18 yo’s vs. a group of professionals (both well paid now though…).

definitely a legit concern

however, macdonald only stayed 1 year, and Minter stayed 2 years, and the hope is that since Wink was the primary architect of the Ravens' scheme and taught Macdonald and Minter, if we can get 1 or 2 years of great production out of him, that's a win. the defense will be loaded next year, and if Wink is a good coach and can maintain continuity of the same scheme, the defense will be needed to carry the team due to all the departures on offense

neither macdonald nor minter were great recruiters, so even if wink doesn't recruit well, it's not a huge deal compared to the previous 3 years. he just needs to maintain the scheme which the players have been running for 3 years
