It is said that women's menses cycle with phases of the moon, most predominantly during the full moon. Now, women claim they run the world, and behind every great man is a woman taking credit, so it would naturally mean the world would go crazier as they went crazier at full moon.

After all, the word "loony" come from Luna, the moon.
