This and the 2 HC are good friends

lsu777, you’re about to get some bad news regarding Barbe’s season
I’ll wait until it’s not hearsay

We’re ahead of them in the power rankings, what could be worse
(Shout out to our girls who are currently #1 in softball. It’s not meaningful, but it’s not meaningless either)

For D1 Select, early observations:
Catholic is loaded. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I have a hard time seeing them denied this year. It's baseball after all, but they're so good. Aside from Schmidt, you'd have a hard time picking out the prospects. They're all solid.
Brother Martin is also loaded. They're not anywhere near as loaded as Catholic but they're pretty damn deep, especially on the mound. Big, big kids too. They will be imposing to most teams. Aside from Darrah (and he's a junior), you'd have a hard time picking out the prospects bc very few are small or look wide eyed. Junior laden team, really, so they should be a huge contender next year.
John Curtis is a a very underrated team. I need to see their pitching depth a little bit more. Any hiccup from one of their top few guys and it could get dicey, from what I've seen. They'll be good at the plate and on defense.
Jesuit and Rummel will be in the convo. Both pretty well rounded ball clubs. St Paul's won't be a walkover either.
Tioga, Libery, Captain Shreve, and Northwood have had good starts but I'm unfamiliar with them. Just being honest. No disrespect.
Warren Easton and St Aug are scrappy. They're going to give the top teams fits, even with lesser talent and depth.
I wouldn't count Holy Cross out for a run either. They have some dudes. They just don't have any rhythm yet.

barbe beat westlake 10-0 last night
SH beat acadiana 2-1
barbe plays St Louis tonight
hoping the rumors from yesterday on an injury are correct and its not as bad as initially thought.

Nah. OCS is a quality program. From what I was told WM was up 5-1 and went to some new guys on the bump. OCS hit the ball well and tied it up 7-7 before they ended up going 11 innings. In the 11th OCS hit the ball really well and won the game. That’s baseball, and a great job by OCS to never stop fighting.
I’m more concerned that WM scheduled 5 games in a week. I know they’re deep, but that’s a lot of games for a high school team bullpen. 4 more games starting tomorrow against very good teams in Parkview Baptist, Mandeville, Dutchtown, and I can’t remember the last game.
