Maxpreps Top 25 Rankings updated to this point in the year came out yesterday. Catholic BR is #1 in the Country. Barbe was at #22.

When you have LSU caliber HS kids talking about only playing for their travel team and not playing for their HS team…the system is broken.

That’s a few select kids doing stuff like that for a majority of them the High school coaches determine their paths. I’d still rather them playing baseball during the summer than on the streets or playing Fortnite. I am however against playing fall baseball.

And Sulphur is gonna be tough with Knox on the mound, very tough but Diego ain’t a slouch. That game could go either way. Imo barbe has the better 2 and 3 pitchers

When you have shitty arse coaches who are playing favorites over legit D-1/Juco players at some schools, the system is broken. I can promise you it happens more than you realize. Kids who tear it up on summer ball teams can't find the field due to school politics.
Keep an eye on the Future Stars program. I could see them creating a year round program where kids that excel can playing year round in front of colleges and scouts. They did a Juco tournament at beginning of year along with a team made up of 2024 and some 2025 players and played at Texas Rangers park. They also do underclass and upperclass events at Fenway park and will be doing 2025 National event at Minute Maid Park this year.
If it continues, high schools teams will become the new rec-ball program.

No flat bills, I do like oakleys though but to be fair I like Maui Jim’s, coasta and ray ban also amongst others
And I get tired of the shite talking from people who have no clue wtf they are talking about
Most of the time it’s fat fricks from the BMI threads that talk shite about kids being too active

Man I hope kids still take pride in representing their high school but I also get it a kids point of view. Many schools have shite programs, shite coaching and offer very little in terms of development to many of these kids
