He stepped onto the ground over the box then picked it up but foot was still across the box in front of home plate when it hit him. You can’t rewind NFHS but I’ll grab a screenshot of it when the game is over

I have no clue. If he did they didn’t bring attention to it on the stream. Not blaming the umps. Just unfortunate because Benton would’ve had 3 outs before Barbe started scoring. Seemed pretty blatant to me but maybe I missed something.
