Cutoff is September 1st. I turned 18 a month before graduating. My kids just turned 18 and will graduate next week.


ETA: The LHSAA outlawed holding back once a kid entered 6th grade a long time ago. Used to be held back in 8th grade. OCS had a program called 8+ just for this. Everyone did it, some more than others. My mom quickly overruled my Dad on that one.

this changed, can hold back whenever you want. just cant turn 19 before senior year

I turned 17 in September of my SR year, grew 3 inches and 20 lbs between then and my 18th birthday....wish I could have been held back.
