Topuria will dominate this division for a while. Combination of speed and power are scary. I don’t see anyone matching up with him.

I think he's the best p4p fighter in the UFC. That includes Islam and Bones.

His skills are so off the charts in every single area of mma, it's incredible.

Dana said something about the main event blowing our minds or something like that. Good fight, but what a letdown

It may end up being a good fight but for 300 it’s a bit underwhelming. Dana was hyping it up like it was going to be some huge fight. It’s not that it has to be Connor or anything, but I wasn’t expecting something like this.

Didn't Dana claim the main event would blow people minds? Well that was a lie.

He definitely did. Hill coming back from injury for a main event for 300 is a big let down.

Well, in a way, it kind of did.

The Co-main is a fuking straw-weight Zhang Weili squash match at the top of the card.

It's also following what will be an absolute fireworks show in Max vs Gaethje.

I just don't understand why Dana continues to book female fights like this. It absolutely kills the momentum of the broadcast. Those fights have been atrocious for about 2 years now and they're always 5 rounds and there are never KOs, so they always go the distance. It's just terrible.

The obvious answer is because it's a title fight. To schedule it as anything less than a co-main event would be a disrespect to and a cheapening of the promotion and the title. There was an absolute brutal of a banger tonight between Lemos vs. Dern way early in the prelims. I get that you don't like the female fights, but I don't look at much differently as a lot of the lightest mens weight classes in combat sports. They tend to be a lot more technical, faster paced but with less KOs.

Dana oversold it per usual, but can anyone name 3 actually possible fights they’d rather see?

Dana is like the job recruiter promising you a 200k job at Tesla but ends up getting you a 60k job at Entergy.

Was the top 3 fights at 200 tate vs nunes, brock vs hunt, and dc vs silva. Not exactly a great lineup. I just dont know what people were expecting.

DC/Anderson was last minute, that was the first time Jones got popped for roids.

He wanted Conor, but he wasn’t signing a contract extension. Jones declined. Stipe only wants to fight Jones. He offered Leon 3 fights and he said yes to all 3 and none were accepted on the other end (supposedly). So this was probably the best matchup he could make.

I'm good with Pereira vs. Hill. For all of Pereira's fights so far, I've had that feeling of 'This is absolutely insane.' Where the adrenaline is pumping and you just know something unpredictable and shocking could happen at any second. What more can you ask for as a fight fan?

Hard to watch Volkanovski get knocked out cold like that. I think maybe it was Anik who was saying last night on the post-fight show that the old school guys like GSP, etc., would have never taken the Islam fight on short notice, that they would have been thinking about their legacy, etc. You could maybe say that Volk fighting Islam on short notice was a huge career mistake, but that assumes that he might have fared better against Topuria if he hadn't been knocked out vs. Islam. I'm not so sure Volk could have beaten Topuria regardless of how things went vs. Islam. I'm not even sure Volk can beat Topuria in a rematch.

And if it's not a rematch with Topuria, who does Volk even fight? Some of the commentators were saying that he should move up to 155. I don't know, Volk can't really claim that he cleaned out the featherweight division if he doesn't beat Topuria. And it's not like things get any easier in a heavier weight class. Other commentators were saying he should take a long time off. But Volk himself has said he feels better mentally when he's in a camp. Just a bunch of hard questions for Volk now.

There's been a big changing of the guard in the UFC over the past year and change. Usman, Adesanya, Sterling, Volkanovski. All being talked about as the arguable GOAT in their weight class, and now... It's a hard fall from the top. You were King of the ring and now you have to jockey for position with the next generation of killers. UFC, man. It's brutal.

I'm sure I saw Topuria's fights, but I didn't really take note of him. Now it's like, man, who is going to be able to beat this guy?

That Chinese guy is scary. Mingyang. He's a giant. X Link Mingyang KO - Catches him with a hard right and a hard left - Actually I think he catches him with three hard hits. Left-right-left combo. Crazy.

The joy on Hernandez's face and the pure agony / anguish on Kopylov's face as he was getting choked out was a sight to see, the UFC in a nutshell.
