Just bumping this thread to try and find a gun shop or gunsmith on the Northshore that will help me see what will fit my rifle. I think I’m down to two scopes:

Swarovski z5(i) 3.5-18 x 44mm
(Many on other message boards call this a near perfect white tail scope)

Or since I don’t shoot relatively long distances…..
Swarovski z3 3-10 x 42mm

I’m all about Swarovski. I own Zeiss, S&B, Leica and more. At the end of the day; they are all very, very good. I’m sold on Swarovski for their customer support.

I’ve got an old pair of 10x42 Binos I bought new in 2000. Literally; 24 years old. When I got back from Safari in Africa I was a bit worried about them. They’d got some sand/wind exposure and made a grinding sound when making adjustments. The caps had also dry rotted over time. The model I have has been long since discontinued.

I called and they insisted that I send them in, so I sent the binos in for service. Not only did they replace the eye caps and covers; they sent a new harness too. As good as new and back in a few weeks. They also sent an invoice showing a $0 balance.

That 42mm is all you need to 800 yards.
