The story from folks in F'ville is that Trey's sister got mixed up with some gang bangers with bad results and Trey and his brother decided to take up for her in the only way that gang bangers understand.
You don't pick your own hometown, your neighbors or your family, but if true, very bad decision on how to take up for your sister...

CEH got caught up in a similar deal around the the fiesta bowl involving a PlayStation. He got cleared and went on to become an all time LSU great and be apart of 3 super bowls in KC

This comparison should be an auto-ban.

What Hollys statement did succeed at doing is Eliminating self defense as a claim. Which is idiotic

it takes away an important angle for reasonable doubt, which is wild to do so early in the process

CEH was totally cleared but was dealing with shady characters selling and electronic item. Someone was killed and self defense in that case was justified. At that time there were all kinds of rumors and judgement.

Even Collins was a person of interest and went from a 1st round pick to not being drafted, this cost him millions of dollars so let's not be so quick to judge

Trey Holly's final story is to be determined and to assume Holly actually was involved in the shooting is unknown and not proven.

Withhold judgement until all the facts are determined, disclosed and he actually goes to trial.

I realize he's trying to change the narrative in the coverage of this thing but any lawyer would not have approved of his statement.
I hope he had nothing to do with it and he is innocent until proven guilty.
Sounds like he went home for the break and hung out with the wrong crowd.
He's not the only athlete to make that mistake.

CEH was never arrested or charged with anything. He's even the one that actually called the cops and didn't flee the scene.

Have no sympathy for him at all if he's guilty

Not sure if it means they were in a vehicle or if they were just in the street when it happened. This is what the initial report said & Georgia St is the main road in the apartment complex. Safe to say the shooting took place outside & not in any of the apartments

If he is innocent....I am guessing he was in the least a witness since it was about his sister and little brother was involved.

This is what I hate about situations like this is having to wait for the truth to come out. So many rumors floating around the Ville right now, half you know are false and the off half.... Well. Who the frick knows

Trey is back at LSU. Cannot participate with the team until he is cleared but the situation is looking up for him.

First three things you do when charged : Shut up, Shut up and Shut up.
yup.

We've speculated here what is "home" in his statement... his residence (former) in Farmerville? Farmerville itself? It is open to interpretation.

One reason to 'shut up' is now he has a public statement stating he was 'at home' at the time of the shooting. So he's locked in. It's the first thing LEO try to do is to get you locked into a statement. So any variance from that is very damaging to credibility and may veer, with some stretching, into obstruction/tampering. So he's now locked into that and it is somewhat open to interpretation.

PSA: when LEO asks the open-ended question along the lines of 'do you have any other info' or 'is there anything else we should know' the proper answer, if you are cooperating, is do you have a specific question.

- if you answer NO, and they find something you should have said it is obstruction that they will leverage against you even if innocent

- if you answer in the affirmative, you have to spill your guts and going back to the beginning the moral of the story is STFU

Is it? So, he got bailed out of jail. I don’t think anything else with his situation has changed.
