re: How did The Iron Claw get zero Oscar nominations?

I was a kid of the 80's, so followed regional wrestling but i don't have a lasting memory of this family. I have no doubt it is a well done representation of the family and the time, but didn't make it a great movie for me. Take Maestro for instance (also well executed to the period, but not great)

I did enjoy it though ... just not a best picture contender for me. Zac generally acts up the level of his fellow other actors and he did a fine job as well on this one.

Personally, I really wanted to work on this project but timing was off. Would have been fun to work on it in my hometown.
