If you turn on Daniels tape this year, the first thing you notice is his eyes moving across the field

Just because they are moving doesn't mean he is seeing what he needs to be seeing. In fact, that was the big problem in 2022. Guys were open. He just wasn't identifying it fast enough.

This year he was better. But a lot of what LSU did wasn't terribly complex. Basically, it was a lot of "if you see Nabers or BTJ in a one on one matchup" put it up. Or, if you see the defense playing a zone figure out where you are going to go and get it in the vicinity of those two WRs. Obviously it wasn't THAT simple, but that was the general idea. And why not? That's what you SHOULD do when you have two 1st round caliber WRs who are better than 95% of the DBs they were facing. And it worked.

BK's job was to put together the best offense he could with his players. And he did just that. It's Daniel's NFL HC/OC's job to do such on their level.

Daniels was extremely accurate this year and made great reads going through his progressions quickly, and running when necessary. Those criticisms were warranted in 2022, but anyone saying that about 2023 Daniels watched the wrong film.

And what separates Daniels and makes him so highly sought after is that he can actually make those throws. How many QBs at LSU could? We ALWAYS have several very good receivers that can win one on one a vast majority of the time, but if the QB can’t get them the ball in the most simplistic schemes, what difference does it make?
