Friday afternoon or Monday?

Guy in my building at work is about to get let go today. He doesn't know but it got me to thinking, 73 degrees and sunny on a Friday wouldn't be the worst time.

A perfect weather weekend is a terrible time to be fired, unless you no longer need a job

Gimme Monday. It already sucks balls and it’d be a shame to ruin a lovely weekend.

Right after you come back from lunch drunk and tell your boss what you really think of him/her/it.

Monday so you can take the week to decompress. He’s not gonna be able to appreciate this weekend.

Right after reading the winning numbers on the powerball ticket you bought earlier.

Best for the company is late on a Friday when less people are there and the office is closed for the weekend.

Best for the employee would be a Monday, so you can immediately start your job hunt.

Or, of course...never.

My last company always seemed to do them on Wednesday.

I think some HR guru decided that was the best time for some reason.

Fired fired or just let go?

I need to know where my sympathy should be.

Fire me on a Monday. Don’t make me work a week when you already know I’m going to be fired.

Friday afternoon so you can drink all weekend. Sober up for Monday's job hunt, and hit the ground running.

If you're going to get fired you probably have an idea. Might as well get it over with instead of have it hanging over you all weekend.
