Laron Landry was a better tackler as a freshman. He missed a bunch later on because he went for the big hit. Jamal Adams and Tyrann at DB never missed tackles. Minter and Bradie James both great at LB.

My vote: Kyle Williams. If big boy got one paw on you, you were going down.

ETA:

Brooks is another awesome pick.

TM7. Best open-field tackler I've seen at LSU.

Our safety play from Ryan Clark - Grant Delpit was something we took for granted. Landry, Reid, Adam’s, Honey Badger, Delpit, and a few others just got guys down on the ground.

Wasn’t poor tackling a criticism of Delpit during draft scouting season?

I'm kind of interested on all the Devin White answers. I love Devin White and think he's great, but dude would regularly hit the wrong hole as a LB while he was here.

Darry Beckwith would be my answer.

If special teams qualifies, it’s Michael Clayton.

Kevin Minter/Jamal Adams/Laron Landry/Brady James. It’s tough I’ll go with Minter.

That is funny with Tre White. His biggest concern in drafting him was his inability to tackle. He was a slight build DB and didn't exactly seek out tackling.

Patrick Willis. Yep. He probably made more tackles for the Rebs against LSU than a lot of LSU defenders did for the Tigers in the last 3 years.

Devin White was a running back at Springhill in high school, playing Mike linebacker isn’t easy it took him a few years but hell he was team captain for the bucks from almost his rookie year so he obviously learned it

Jamal Adams rarely let a guy get by him.
I know he hasn’t been the best character in the league past couple years, but the man has always finished a tackle.
I’m not saying he’s the best. But I scrolled a little ways and hadn’t seen his name mentioned.
TM7 was the same way.

Neither make top 10 in LSU history as being “great tacklers”. Landry was a great hitter. White ran poor angles.
