Wasn’t Dino the one that turned from drugs to repenting and becoming a pastor? Yeah, that’s who I’m giving my church donations.

I think the pastor of HPC Ascension is named Patrick.

Damn..this thread hasn't been nuked yet? Anytime someone mentions religion and/or tithing, it usually gets deleted pretty quickly.

Sadly all new evangelical churches are like this both big and small. They got too wrapped up in the "experience" and neglected the Gospel. It obviously can be compounded even worse the more mega the church gets.

I used to go to Healing Place in Baton Rouge and would take offense when people would talk down about it but thankfully the Lord fully got a hold of my heart again and I realized every Sunday was just empty talk. The wife and I also didn't like how all of the "small groups" didn't seem to actually exist so we couldn't meet anyone to grow in faith with.

Thankfully we have been in a small Bible based church for over 2 years now and have grown exponentially in faith.
