If there was ever a time to do it, it’s this draft. It’s not very deep and somehow acquiring another 2nd or 3rd would be clutch for this team.

We know Loomis will be itching to trade up with Day 3 picks, so I think we need to do what we can to have 3-4 picks on days 1 and 2.

Not as long as Loomis is here.

We should, but we won't. My bet is we stand pat at 14, pick up a late 1st for Lattimore, bundle the comp picks to move into the fourth round, then bundle a sixth and seventh to move up slightly in the sixth.

So we can still end up with two players in the top 30 and three in the top 100. Would be nice to get four in that top 100

That doesn't make any sense, fyi.

If its not very deep, you target specific players, meaning you use picks to move up and around.

If it is deep, its more beneficial to try and move back and have more picks.

This is one year where everyone in the first round has a legitimate 1st round grade. In fact, the 2nd round will be sprinkled with 1st round draft graded players.

This draft is top heavy and later rounds may not be as talented.

The Saints will stay exactly where they are in the 1st round.

Trading up to take another OT since Penning has worked out so well. They know they can’t miss on their player evaluations

If Bowers is there you absolutely draft him.

If not mistaken, in 2018 we traded two firsts to move from 28 to 14 in order to draft Davenport. Could you imagine how great that would be for us to do the opposite- drop to 28 and pick up an extra 1st.
This team has so many needs that we can get a great fit for us at 28.

We will.

Then we’ll trade all the picks we gain to trade up in the 2nd

I think the draft is deep and that’s the reason to trade back.

The draft not being deep seems like a reason to stay put.
