He’s as close to Nola as anyone’s been IMO. Still doesn’t have that level of control and run, but he’s in the same ballpark.

I kind of downplayed him after the first two weeks. I've said numerous times I would hope he can stay on Saturday, because I didn't think we would get this in this type of game from him. I was wrong though. Kid is absolutely dealing. From a straight up stuff stand point, we have better, but the kid is a damn pitcher.

This is a legit comparison his curveball is not as nasty as Nola's but the way he handles his business on the mound is definitely similar. The Astros announcers mentioned that Jay Johnson had already made the comparison.
