I didn't say anything at the time but he would have scored on Kling out 7 to 1

Yer stewpid.

There was one out when Jones got thrown out to make out #2. If he stayed on 3B, when Kling came up next and grounded out to shortstop he still wouldn't have scored.

Bear Jones has never been a good baserunner, & probably never will be. He's in the lineup the hit with power.

It is what it is...get over it.

Anyone down voting the op and saying he should go home on a ground ball to third is an idiot and letting all know they have NEVER played at any level.

Jones made the right decision with 1 out. Go on first contact. Hitter gets to 2B. No loss. Hit scores the runner.

If Jones didn’t move from third, Bingham would have been thrown out at first bc he hit a rocket right to the third baseman. It would have 2 outs either way. The only difference is that one scenario has us with two outs and Jones at third. The other scenario was Bingham at 2B with two outs.

If he would of froze at third the third baseman would of got the out at first. There would of still had 2 outs with a man at third instead of 2 outs with a man at second. The next batter up got out so still no run would of scored!

Sometimes the coach tells you to run on contact everywhere except back to the pitcher. He probably should of had a bigger secondary lead and it may have been a closer play at home.

The only thing I didn’t like was when Miliam was on 1st with 2 outs. Pitcher was not holding him or even acknowledging that he was on base. We still didn’t steal.

Then SS hits a double that would have scored him. Instead we are 2nd and 3rd and get no runs.
