I just don’t see the point at grabbing later round dart throw QBs.

Carr is here, he’s paid, he’s going to be here for a few years. If an actual potential franchise guy falls then jump with both feet but we need players for the post Allen/and eventual post Carr years.

New OC wanting to get his guy? Without knowing what Kubiak sees in Haener, at some point they will need to invest in a solid #2 as well. You either spend a few million a year to get a vet, or you ride mid-round rookie salary numbers for 4 years. If Kubiak things Haener can be that guy, then were set for the next 3 years. If not, look for them to draft someone in the 5th to battle it out for that PS position (assuming they keep Winston).

And if we are extremely lucky, Kubiak had a big hand in part of Purdy's success and can replicate it here.
