I agree. Reviewers comparing this to Empire Strikes Back and a new standard for sci-fi films got me pretty hyped up. I think years of shitty movies has lowered the bar a lot.
Very good movie that I would watch again. But I didn't walk out of the movie feeling amazed. Would say it is in the same tier as Fury Road, Blade Runner 2049, Dred.

This is a big issue no one likes to talk about. You can lay the never ending stream of shitty movies and remakes at the feet of Disney / Marvel and the PC Prog police.
