I worked two summers at what was once called Colonial Sugar in Gramercy. Not sure what name it goes by now.
The only difference in the name brand sugar and the cheap store brand sugar is the label. I would watch them change the giant rolls of paper when changing from one product to the next.

I'd imagine that's the case across the board. There's no great value food plant cranking out every grocery item imaginable.

That's the same in the egg industry as well. They are all coming from the same place, just the package changes.
