We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott, it's about 1/4 a mile from where the shuttles depart for the tournament, not too far from Memorial Park. It's not a fancy place but I had a couple of free nights to use and I don't have to park my car amongst the throngs of people when were done. Thanks for the suggestions.

Magnol for the best ham and cheese croissants. Order online the day before. it is right across from the shuttle
