I agree. I think when people say that nowadays they just mean a non DR Horton/DSLD house.

To clarify, we are having someone draw up a home based on a floor plan we developed with custom built cabinets, 10-foot ceilings, etc. So not choosing from a book of model options in a contractor's catalog of home choices. We have never built a home and we don't plan on moving again, so are going this route.
