re: How much does it cost to build a custom home where you live?

Shiiiiiit man. I’m in Greenville SC and if you want a “custom” home here it’s $40k-$50k for the architect and $450-$700 sf depending on slope of lot, appliances, etc… But lots of “custom” homes here stone exteriors, slate roofs, stoned driveways, etc… It’s a whole different animal. Landscape architects also have a minimum of $100k. It’s fricking looney tunes. But people are obviously paying it. Bc it’s still selling.
