That's a good way to put it. So far, from what I've seen, I'd take Braswell.

I would agree. One of the oddities with Braswell is his deceptively slow speed. The kid has the rail thin build of someone who looks like he should be able to fly but just hasn't shown it.

Braswell is the least of Jay's concerns right now

His arm and range are nowhere close to what JT showed. He go rid of the ball quickly but he didn't have much on that ball across the diamond. He also doesn't look to be as fast twitch as you expect at SS and his straight line speed looks slightly above average. He looks weird to me when he runs.

All of that said, Tre bailed out JT and others with his defense. Bear looks to be getting better and starting to stride out more but there were a few plays when he didn't this weekend that was the difference btw safe and out. He also missed a couple of balls that IMO he should have come up with.

And needless to say, his decision-making was questionable as well when he had plenty of time to force-out the lead runner at 3rd

He didn't have chance to get him at 3rd. Dak had a huge lead at 2nd and was almost halfway on his secondary and running on contact.

Morgan did a lot to cover JT’s deficiencies at SS as well…

This board is so terrible between games.

During games most of the time as well.

No one misses JT at the plate. That's for sure.

It was 12-5 in the bottom of the 8th.

I don't mind Braswell throttling it down and resting his arm.

JT was a good to very good shortstop

Nah. He was serviceable. That’s about it. I’ll say this, he had a friggin gun when he controlled it, and when he connected at the plate he had power. The potential is there for a professional club to develop him.

I’m not sure where lsu fans develop their standards from.

There are people who still think Bregman was a poor infielder because he made an error in Omaha

But I think their standard is Austin Nola which is insane

He was better than serviceable. His range was spectacular, his glove was serviceable, his arm strength was spectacular, Throwing accuracy was serviceable. His power was very good but his general batting average was mediocre at best. On the days when everything was clicking he was very good, close to great. On the days when he was off on everything, serviceable is where I would have put him, maybe worse. Usually, he was hitting the higher range of a few weaker points and bottoming out on at least one of the others. That's how I get good to very good, on average that is where I see him. I also think he had as many or more stellar days then putrid ones. Just the putrid ones stood out because they were often in losses.

So the kid hits .400 in the series. 3 walks, 2 runs scored and an RBI.

Why don't you call for Milam head too while your at it.

.090 Batting average in the series. 3 walks, 1 run scored and 0 rbis

Yall are just look for something to to bitch about. It was a terrible series all around.
