our high scool qb thought he was a badass and challenged me to a match. I was yawning by the end, which he quit

after the first set was 6-0 and the guy never wanted to play again

ahit, my gf's kid wanted to learn to play and I was gentle, then I sent her a heater serve at then end and she never even saw it. It's not easy to return a 145 mph ball.

spme people think tennis is some kind of a joke and it's not

Yes, there is. Baseball is top 5, not the top 1.

According to one of the best athletes of all time who played 2 professional sports (Michael Jordan), golf is the most difficult sport to play.

Cross country. One of the few sporting competitions where simply trying a little harder works.

Baseball yes, but not sure about cricket considering the least athletic country in the world is also one of the best at cricket

Darts. Those guys are just overweight beer drinkers.

Ever watched a pro dart tournament? Those guys are INSANELY good

I love darts and have gone against some badass dart throwers in bar tournaments (and lost badly), but those guys are mutants. Absolute mutants.

Consistently hitting a ball in fair play in the major leagues is the hardest accomplishment in pro sports. If you can do that 1/3rd of the time, you're considered elite. That's fricking crazy.

I’d say football only bc there are a number of people who have played football for only a couple years who make it to the nfl bc they are great athletes. I’ve never heard of a golfer or baseball player picking up the sport and competing in the pga or mlb.

I've done it. It's actually really fun. In the Mid-west where curling is really popular, it's like beer league softball, but in the winter...

Darts.

ETA: Yeah, pros are good. But it probably doesn't need much help from genetics.

A lot of tour players in history were never top 250 ranked juniors in the world. And a lot of top ranked juniors don’t make it. Some of them don’t hit their stride until their 20s. That is still cool that you were ranked that high at some point.

curling in context is awesome

this is a sport people do while drinking beer with their buddies.

that’s why the american team is so likable. they still look like they’d rather be drinking beer while they do it.

So you've never played golf

If a golfer shot 6 under par every round he would win every tournament

A birdie is not analogous to a hit. Golf is hard as shite, don't get me wrong, but hitting major league pitching is harder. I didn't say the sport was harder, that's too subjective, but I think hitting major league pitching is harder than any "normal" occurrence in the sport of golf.

Most other sports require some level of athletic talent or physical training to be good

You were a top 250 junior in the world, have one of the fastest serves in the world at 145 mph(compared to adult pros), and couldnt sniff being a pro?

Wtf that doesnt sound right
