That guy is a genius. I’ve been reading a lot of his books, currently reading State of Emergency. He has been sounding the alarm about immigration and globalism for decades. It’s obvious to me that Trump took a lot of policy ideas from him, including closing the borders and getting rid of NAFTA.

Should have followed Reagan as president.

Would have been a great president. Better than Reagan. MSM hated him.

He had a real shot at knocking off Bush Sr in the 92 primary but there were a lot of accusations of anti-semiticism and holocaust denial dogged him throughout the campaign.

Love him

I was a proud member of the Buchanan Brigade back in 91-92. Fun times being a part of an insurgent campaign that fought the GOP Establishment:
First Goldwater, then Pat, now Trump.

Can’t remember now if it was the 88 or 92 GOP primary debates. He called the immigration issue an economic attack on America that was being supported by the Mexican government.
Said it was no different than if Mexico were lining troops up on our border. If they were to do that we would defend border with our military. Said we should be defending the immigration issue the same way.
Was listening to an interview and he totally (in a good way) blew my mind. His solution was to build a 10ft chain length fence along the entire border. Every 300 yards build a watch tower and man it 24/7 with a Border patrol agent with a spotlight and a high powered rifle. Put a sign on the fence that said if you touch this fence you will be shot. I was sold on Pat that moment. Just the fact that he had the balls to say it out loud.

I wished I'd listened to him 30 years ago. He was prophetic.
