It really is ridiculous, even for native species. Non-native antivenom is even higher, despite the fact that we have plenty of antivenom manufacturing in the states. What may cost thousands or even tens of thousands a vial here costs tens of dollars overseas....same antivenom, same manufacturer.

Are you sure? I was tracking all corfab goes through Switzerland or somewhere in Europe is what was taught when I did my time as a reptile handler we went down south with venom 1 reaction team and a few other places that sold the venom to some place in Europe that makes the best anti venom crofab though bites from coral snakes I believe they stopped manufacturing that antivenom and just put you on life support until u pass the venom.
Now a canebreak bite will hats nasty.
