No, but it gives the impression that sick behavior is acceptable.

No, it doesnt. Only in your mind.

Humans do a lot of things other humans dislike. Its up to you to learn to cope with it.

Of course it does.

It is literally the state sanctioning that behavior as normal. Which absolutely affects culture.

That depends on what's being discussed, obviously. Seems to me like reasonable people agree that the state can limit sexual behavior, even between consenting adults. I'm not aware of any municipality that allows people to frick on a public park bench or in the middle of the public library or on a street corner. The state does not sanction that behavior as normal, and we are o.k. with the government limiting it.

So now we're like the guy who asked the girl if she would sleep with him for a million dollars and when she said yes, he then immediately asked her if she would sleep with him for $100 dollars, to which she asked, "What do you think I am?" And of course his rely was, "We've already established that, madam, now we're just negotiating price.

All that said, even if you think gay marriage falls under the classification of that which is properly left to individuals to decide for themselves, the state sanctioning it as acceptable is still significant as a cultural influence.
