Arizona has won a national title. Gonzaga on the other hand, plays the weakest conference competition year in and year out and has nothing to show for it after having their knobs slobbed every season by the media.
it’s pretty damn hard to win the NCAA tourney outside of UCONN, DUKE, North Carolina, Kansas& Florida what school has won it multiple times this millennium? Zags have avoided the 1st weekend upset for 9 straight years which is pretty incredible. They have 2 finals fours and have made the championship game in both trips and they are just now starting to attract real blue chip players to their program, not a bad resume for a small Jesuit college that doesn’t have the funding like some of these power 5 schools.

Of course it's not a bad resume, but Gonzaga is not some poor little overachieving mid-major either. Their first #2 seed was 20 years ago. Their first #1 seed was over a decade ago. They spend more on basketball than most power conference programs. They're supposed to be good.

That's why people are critical of them for "only" having two Final Fours and two of the worst title game performances ever. The Sweet Sixteen streak is great, but their last 5 tournament losses have still technically been as the higher seed.

I'm not trying to hate on Gonzaga, but every year we're told they're a legit Final Four or national championship contender, then they lose in March, and their biggest defenders revert back to, "look at what they've accomplished over the years for a small private school."
