If Mulkey had a problem with gays she would not have played for one.

She wouldn't even be coaching college basketball if she had a big issue with women being gay. And she's right, your sexuality is basically private. It doesn't define you and you can keep it to yourself.

That's my coach.
Leave your personal baggage at home. You here for degree, NIL, and basketball performance.

Article was actually very good. I honestly don’t see anything aggressively going after her in it. It was almost a short biographical piece that touched on highs, lows, etc.

I'm embarrassed for the writer. Even if all the information and quotes are true, taking 2 years to write to write something so shallow and repetitive is just sad.

Kim must be iron clad if all the info he could find on her was pretty much just rehashing the same old stuff.

Also Pat Forde is a ginormous cuck loser with a hard on for trying to take LSU down.

You can’t play/coach college WBB and be homophobic. I’d imagine anywhere from 40% - 60% of the players and coaches are homosexual…or at least dabbled in it.

Mulkey doesn’t give a shite about who you are banging as long as it doesn’t affect the on-court performance. If/when it does you’ve now made it her problem to deal with as a basketball coach.

It can’t be overstated how much the timing of these drops are a statement of the absolute shamelessness these people have. They knew they had nothing new or substantial so they aimed to use it to disrupt the team.

That actually reads like she’s a tough coach who holds players accountable.

How would this article disrupt the team? It was damn near the most positive article published about Mulkey.

It was complete trash in every way.

1) it didn't reveal any surprising information
2) the quotes were out of context or short snippets
3) it was extremely bloated, repetitive, and long
4) he didn't interview the subject of his profile

It's not good journalism or writing in any way, shape, or form.

Kim Mulkey is gay.

She does not wear it on her sleeve, and her career is not based on her private life. Her sexual preference is not germaine to anything public.

She believes that the higher road for herself and the young women she coaches is to separate their private lives from their public lives.

While this is old-school thinking, as far as I'm concerned, this is the way.

But others don't. They believe coming out relieves them of the guilt and tensions they feel in not being true to their feelings. Fine. Come out. Then shut up because nobody, except other gay enablists, cares to have it permeate everything.
——————————————————————————-
Would not surprise me at all that she is gay. The fact that she doesn’t feel comfortable being open about this is heartbreaking.

I have no interest in defending the media here, but isn’t a more likely explanation for the timing that they wanted to maximize the audience? If they had released it during the offseason or after the tourney was over/LSU was eliminated, then no one would have paid attention.

Admittedly the “media hates LSU” story is more fun to believe though ??

Dropping it two hours before the game won't disrupt them at all. They are in their pre-game routines, etc. It might have been a small distraction a week ago since she addressed it and the media was talking about it, but that only lasts so long. Nothing new in the story and there were even some balanced views from former players. The media will be upset that there is no meat on the bone.

Just a few of the usual trolls. Most of them are shitting on it as a big nothing burger by a liberal rag.
