LSU hasn’t done the smart little things that win close games. Hopefully they get it figured out. They have enough talent to be close. LSU could just as easily have been 6-3 after today. But instead are looking at 2-7.

About the only good thing in this shitty SEC start is that so many of the issues are mental. Kids are playing like scared freshmen in key moments. shite pitch calls in ahead counts and teams know it to jump on it. It's correctable.
4-11 / 5-10 coming out the front loaded schedule and we go on a run late. Get that "well they're hot in the 2nd half of the season" bump.

We just simply don’t do anything very well right now. If you look up the team stats rankings in conference games only you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Little things apply to coaching decisions, too. With LSU up 4-1, pitcher gives up 2 out walk and 3 hits in a row to allow 2 Arky runs to score making it a 4-3 game. Why leave him in to give up the 4th straight hit and tie the game?

Amazing how it has continued through 5 series now. This team could easily have won every series so far with a couple of clutch hits and defensive plays each weekend. Instead they may throw up the worst lsu sec W/L record in decades.

End of May and LSU with an SEC record of 7-23 and doesn’t make SEC tournament.
