In all of the athletes who have played sports for LSU, there have been mega-stars, and there have been players that not many remember. I’m interested in the latter. What “obscure” player is your favorite from past LSU?

My favorite has to be Demetrius Hookfin. The first season I started watching LSU football, he was playing. Solid player with a cool name.

I remember Hookfin getting torched regularly.

I wouldn't refer to him as obscure but J.C. Copeland

Zeph Zinsman easily

Dude was goofy as hell but was actually a decent player

I’ll always remember losing my shite during his 3 homer game vs Duquesne back in the day

Jimmy Welker was the scout team QB on the 2007 NC team. He did not see the field very much but did an awesome job preparing the defense every week for the next opponent.

He probably could have started at a lot of other schools but stuck with us for four years.

I think he is a high school football coach in California now .

I feel like this is the perfect alley oop lob for S to come in and finish with a whirlwind dunk.

I wouldn't exactly call them obscure, but they are former LSU quarterbacks from my formative years who don't get mentioned much:

Mike Hillman
Buddy Lee
Freddie Haynes
