Definitely would be a big land, would help out McMahon's high school recruiting a lot

If he signs, it will be McMahon’s 6th top 100 recruit…which is the same amount as Wade signed in his first three seasons.

I know everyone wants to blame the players to absolve McMahon of any criticism. But I think you could make a very strong argument that the recruiting hasn’t been the biggest issue. It’s the coaching

JFC. You are a total wet towel. And you probably know the difference between top 20 talent and top 80 talent.

Chest just being inside the Top 100 on 247 (not on3 composite), but not sure we should really count a kid that actually got redshirted for god knows what reason.

McMahon's players have all been in that 60-100 range except for Ward who was borderline 5-star. Wade's first 3 classes included 3 5-stars and that doesnt include Smart who was a borderline 5-star similar to Ward as well as Darius Days and Tremont Waters.

I guess we will see what early returns McMahon gets on Givens and Miller but Wade basically hit the jackpot on ALL his Top 100 players:

Waters
Smart
Days
Williams
Watford
Reid

All those guys played significantly big and very good roles by year 2 as well, with some (most really) of them playing big roles in year 1 and looking really good.

I think there's a pretty large difference there in the recruiting, also, consider 5 out of 6 of those came in classes 1 and 2 for Wade, Watford was the only year 3 player of that Top 100 group.

You could very easily argue not a single one of McMahon's Top 100 players have lived up to even the worst of that Wade group thus far, but it has only been 2 years. Unless Ward make a significant jump this upcoming season I'm not exactly sure that changes by the end of year 3 though. I dont see how this is a comparison at all. McMahon has gotten mostly 60-100 range kids and spread them out fairly evenly over 3 different classes thus far. Miller at least would give him 3 kids ranked in 60-80ish range in 1 class which makes things look better. He does need to get these guys developed though, and faster than in 3 years.

What are you talking about?

Chest, Miller, Miller, Givens haven’t even played at LSU

Otherwise you’ve had Reed and Ward. Reed and Ward were major players into turning us into a postseason squad in year 2 during a total rebuild.

We need at least one pretty good big, otherwise we have a very nice core moving into next year. We have every reason to be excited and frick people who want to keep hating on the program

I don't think I agree with this. A few of the players were just flops.
