Imus used the term “nappy headed ho’s”. That is egregious. Dirty debutants is bad but doesn’t reach the level of nappy headed ho’s

This just tells me you dobt know what a "dirty debutant" is. OR you refuse to acknowledge it.

UCLA's coach admitted she did not read the article, just referencing the head lines / title. Her version, anyway. Once she read it, she apologized. FWIW And I don't read or see anything from HVL that indicates she is missing all the attention. She has repeatedly said all she cares about is winning a NC. And there is nothing from her teammates that would indicate unhappiness with her play.

Is there an actual definition for dirty debutants? I think I know what it was implying, googled yesterday to find definition, but really never found an exact definition of the term

It was a long running porno series.

No. There isn't one, which is the point. The largest reference is a long-running porno series. That's the INTENDED reference.

I disagree totally. They didn't treat USCe this way...they are doing this to say we are bad and they were or other teams are good because we are casted as villians....its not about race

I'm not sure I agree with the racism angle, but maybe the columnist shouldn't have gone after LSU.

No, I think you implied that the reaction to how Clark acts vs Reese is based off race...so my question was, do you think the UCLA coach is racist based off off her reaction to Reese at the end if the game? Do you think her reaction would have been different if Clark mouthed something to her bench? Do you think her reaction wad solely based off Reese's skin color?

If it's yes, I assume she should be fired.

I'm nit defending the UCLA coach. Seems like a big liberal snow flake...her non apology was pathetic.

But if you think that Angel doesn't carry herself well sometimes...doesn't mean you think that based off her skin color. What goes for decency has changed in the last 10-15 yrs so I could be off on this one.

I don’t think it was racist at all.

I don’t think it was even arguable that LSU are the “bad boys” of womens basketball.

He’ll, Angel Reese just told an opposing coach to “watch your mouth.”

now, if they were trying to make SC the good guys it would be a reach.

UCLA really doesn’t have a meaningful national image. It was just an attempt to paint the local team in a hero role.

HVL’s comments are wrong.

They don’t like Reese (for the Clark can’t see me) or Mulkey for her politics or LSU cause of the championship. Could be some race shite sprinkled in there.

We live in a world where victim hood creates power. I don’t think any rational person thinks that article was actually based on race.

Some will just want to play the card to punish the writer.

It's not about racism. Its pathetic that the jock sniffers on this site now want to say its racism just because they feel their team is being attacked.

Caitlyn Clark brought a whole new group of eyes and more butts in the seats for WCBB and this is the kind of bullshite that will make them go back to not giving a shite once she goes away. Theres a lot of people who are jealous of the attention she is getting and it shows.

Van Lith speaks earnestly about her own experience with the double standard and yet so many refuse to believe that it’s happening. Hope like hell we win tomorrow and give the haters yet another reason to hate us. Go Tigers!

It is funny seeing TD pretty much agree with HVL though. If this exact situation was happening to South Carolina and they were crying racism about it, this board would definitely not agree

Everything the same except South Carolina playing UCLA the article wouldn’t have been written or at least not negative, so I guess racism is involved with that differing standard.

The most negative comments were the reference to porn that mostly had white women actresses as debutants and anything about the coach. Debutants are viewed as being outdated, sexist, elitist, and likely racist (as everything is) by the left and a negative to them even before the porn reference. Calling a southern women a dirty debutants is probably some inside joke amongst the elite. I am pretty sure the bigger aim of the article was to label Kim, LSU, and Louisiana in general as backwards southern homophobic trash with the team reflecting the trashiness of its coach on the court. Part of divisive politics practiced by the left under the guise of tolerance, inclusion, and diversity.

The Angel versus the UCLA player was just homer crap, and to call that racist is a joke. Being hard on the most recognizable and vocal player on the opposing team isn’t racist.

Continuing to compare her criticism last year against Clark’s is also weak. Angel got called out more the last game against Iowa because she chased down the player after the game was over to taunt her while she should have been celebrating the championship her team just won. It wasn’t a good look, and I am sure she wasn’t quiet during the game. If she had quit at the buzzer nothing would have been said. It’s not a double standard when it’s different.

Just because she said it earnestly doesn’t make it accurate. Go Tigers!
