part of me thinks JJ's approach at the plate has a lot to do with the shitty hitting. i totally understand going deep into counts and running up the pitch count, but what if we just went up there and swung at good pitches early?
Yep
Been saying that. Sometimes the go deep approach works.
But other times when they just throw strikes you gotta swing at good pitches from pitch 1
Otherwise you fall behind and bingo bango strike out. Which we do a lot.

I remember Hanover dating a volleyball chick who had to be at least 6ft tall.

You carry yourself online like a middle infielder or catcher who pitched from time to time. Am I correct in this assessment?

I once played for a coach who made you take a strike if you were in a slump, as if hitting gets easier when you’re behind in the count
Pendulum swings both ways tho, as I’ve played for coaches who wanted you going up swinging and people end up tomahawking at pitches.
I would imagine there’s a lot of pressure from guys who are trying to replace what we lost

It works when you have team full of juniors and seniors who are comfortable in 2 strike counts. Two strikes may as well be 3 for most underclassmen
