Dawn Staley
always has an agenda. She definitely wasn’t on the floor for the anthem in USC’s game against BYU last year.

But most on here have said that Kim has done this every game since she arrived at LSU which is different than your description of what Staley does. I don’t know if the “every game” part is accurate, but if it has been every game with LSU that would seemingly take some work and changing of the routine with the anthem being played according to the tv broadcast and inconsistent timing game to game.

I was really just wondering if anyone knew when Kim started this particular routine. Some changed their routine specifically to avoid the anthem and having some protest while other players stand proudly.

If Kim was doing this before Kap’s crap (or maybe before the Summer of Love) then it definitely isn’t an agenda. If it happened around the same time it’s possible it started as an agenda and just got carried over to LSU as a “routine”.

Either way I think that’s taking away the choice by the adult players, but if it’s just done to avoid the political situation I think that it should change. I also definitely think for each individual game both teams should either be on or off the court during this time.

I don’t like people who kneel or skip the anthem, but I also feel a person has the constitutional right to do so.

So that would mean the policy should be for team to be on the court for anthem (realizing timing can be inconsistent at times so it wouldn’t be 100%), and then the individuals decide what they want which doesn’t seem to be the current policy. If there really has been a concerted effort every game under Kim to avoid having the team on the court for the anthem even as the timing of anthem changes then another state employee would be affecting that right and has been for 3 years.

Iowa being out there was either ‘grandstanding’ or just coincidence. The players were being pushed off and were supposed to be off the court.

Due to field/court turnover, it is like this in college football and basketball.

Not standing is more negative than what Jeff did. I agree with him. It's a bad look. Staying in the locker room did not stop Clark one bit. We lost the game. And that's a bad look too.

Why is it only “a bad look” for the women’s basketball team?

The upvotes and downvotes paint a very clear picture about this boards opinion on Jeff Landry. That speaks volumes from a predominantly right wing message board.

It’s incredible how quickly it became obvious that electing Jeff Landry was a HUGE mistake.
