And Cashman. A team of specialists this offseason came to New York to try and wean the baby off analytics. Boone has always been running Cashman's system of numbers as they see it. So far, Boone looks like he has stopped crunching the numbers every time a pitcher goes to the mound. I don't look for Atlanta Braves kind of managing, but a little more instinct and a lot less slide rule would go a long way.
