I’m at the University of Illinois visiting one of our sons. Couple of members of the Penn State men’s gymnastics team was in the elevator and one said stuff broke at his house in Jersey.

We felt it down where we are. Had a good shake and a decent rumble for about 15 seconds. It was the first earthquake the wife has been in, kinda freaked her out a little bit.

I didn’t do so well in geology class back in HS so someone help me out, has the tectonic plate under NYC metro ever been active?
