Agree 100% regarding off speed. Hard in soft away is classic pitching sequence. But some guys just hit most ground balls to the pull side. See David Ortiz 2016 stats. 48% pull, 34.1% middle, 17.9% oppo of all batted balls. I linked his spray chart that shows the ground balls are 80%+ pullside. I’m sure JJ has these same charts on their opponents. The link to Ortiz’s spray charts is below. Check it out. 90% groundballs are pull side
